   These are some new Chunky Shelf Sitters I have added to my website, they make very cute table or shelf decorations. They come in a set of 2 each. I have a going out for business campaign on right now. As I have stated before my cookie jars/lids are my number one sellers, I have over 60 lids at this time to choose from and I am adding new lids all the time, I have been painting for about 25 or more years and I still loving to paint. My cookie jars and lid bundles are in my opinion the best gift you can give to someone. I make up a gift bag that includes a large glass cookie jar filled with goodies set inside a cellophane bag that has shredded paper in the bag the jar comes with one lid and then I add around the jar 3 different lids, I tie the bag with appropriate ribbon and then I give it as a wedding present for family and friends. This costs around $90.00, however it makes a fantastic gift, and it looks very impressive. This is a 3 piece set of chunky 2" wood shelf sitters that I have tole painted.
Ed Harris is the artist and they are his original design.
this set would be very cute on your fireplace mantel in your home with the woodsy theme or in your cabin in the mountains . Either way they are very cute.

Tue 28 October 2008 - Bird House
This is a new plaque I have added to my website, it is painted on old stained wood, with a wire hanger, vine and a fabric bow. I painted over the old stain with acrylic paints to add a look of aged wood. It reads" Birdhouse Collector" makes a very cute wall hanging for a country theme home.

Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked,
"How old was your husband?" "98," she replied.
"Two years older than me"
"So you're 96," the undertaker commented.
She responded, "Hardly worth going home, is it?
Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman:
"And what do you think is the best thing
about being 104?" the reporter asked.
She simply replied, "No peer pressure.
"
I've sure gotten old!
I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement,
new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes
I'm half blind,
can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,
take 40 different medications that
make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts.
Have bouts with dementia.
Have poor circulation;
hardly feel my hands and feet anymore.
Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92.
Have lost all my friends.
But, thank God,
I still have my driver's license.
I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape,
so I got my doctor's permission to
join a fitness club and start exercising.
I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour.
But,
by the time I got my leotards on,
the class was over.
An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and
told her preacher she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second,
she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart.
"Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed.
"Why Wal-Mart?"
"Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week"
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Know how to prevent sagging?
Just eat till the wrinkles fill out.
It's scary when you start making the same noises
as your coffee maker.
These days about half the stuff
in my shopping cart says,
"For fast relief.
"

the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
the eyesight to tell the difference.

Sat 1 December 2007 - Christmas
Wow here it is December 1st already... Christmas is in the air, the hustle and bustle has officially begun...Does any of you ever get tired of all the hype that is now associated with Christmas ?
I know I do, the believe that retail has taken over Christmas, there is so much pressure on what to buy, from holiday decorations, food, gifts, party's, etc that the true meaning of Christmas is completely lost...
Wouldn't it be nice if the world could get back to focusing on that true meaning and stop allowing all of the commercialism to control the holiday...
When our children were small we still did the Christmas thing with Santa and all of the hype, but we didn't go over board, for two reasons we didn't have the money and it isn't about how much you get it's about Jesus.
We made our children's birthdays more special than Christmas focusing on one child at a time.
Christmas should come from the heart not the stores...Everyone should be teaching the spirit of giving...It is a very special thing to teach to give something handmade from the heart....
Our world is to focused on all of the material things out there. Did you ever stop any think about how many homeless and depressed people there are in this world, and the numbers always increase around the holidays...
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas !

Sat 3 November 2007 - "Legal Drugs"
As you might know if you read one of my other blogs, I hate anti depressant drugs. But what I want to say today, is that In my opinion the drug companys are getting away with being "Legal Drug Pushers" on national television.
Thats right DRUG PUSHERS because they can go on tv and say tell your doctor you need this drug or that drug for all of these sickness's that they invent to get everyone taking drugs. Granted it's all about the money for them, so they don't really care wether the drugs are safe or not, they just want to sell drugs, and they are using the power of television to do that pushing for them.
Think about it the power of suggestion, people are watching that saying to themselves OMG I have that I better go and ask for a perscription from my doctor.
Come on people we aren't stupid don't let the "Legal Drug Pushers" get you hooked on perscritpions. I'm not saying all perscriptions are bad, I am just saying that should not be allowed to advertise. It's my opinion that we will benefit more by reaserching and using natural remedys, than if we use man made drugs of any kind.

Spooks
I was wanting to hear from anyone that has had an experience with anything strange or scary in or around their home. "Spooks" so to speak....
It has been a few years, but I swear this is the absolute truth...One night I was in bed, not in a deep sleep, but I was asleep, My daughter and her then husband and kids were staying with us. Some of the kids toys were in the front room, but everyone was asleep.
I kept hearing this toy that was a battery operated toy keep comming on(you had to push a button to get it to come on)I laid they and listened to it going on and off for about 15 minutes or so, then I woke up my hubby and said lay really still and listen, he laid there and it came on once and then went off, he said who is up playing with the toys ? I said no one, just about then the toy turned on again, It done that a couple more times.
I said lets get up go in there and see what is going on. So we did. Yep you guessed it the toy "would not" come back on, while we were setting there. So we went back to bed, and once again the toy kept turning on and off...
I am so serious it wouldn't even make a sound while we were sitting there, but it did as long as we were not in the same room with it...
Now what would you be thinking ? was it spooks ? was it just a malfunction ?
Please tell me your opinion...I would love to hear what you think.

Fri 28 September 2007 - Are you messy ?
Ok everyone I would like to get to know how all of your creative minds work. It is my theory that creative people are rarely tidy, I know for myself that this is very true.
I try not to have a mess all over my house but who are we trying to kid, creative people are messy. I clean up my work space and it last about oh I would say maybe 1/2 of a day and then it is messy all over again. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. Come on tell me if I am way off base here. Like I have said befor, It is getting very close to fall and I love painting for the halloween season check out my new items and my website... You will like my new projects

 This is cedar fence slats that I cut in half and sanded slightly to paint this halloween decoration on. It was an old fence in my yard that I tore down. Halloween is my favorite holiday, it is the funest holiday "in my opinion" to decorate for. I Love Halloween.........
